THE GHAN TRAIN JOURNEY

The Ghan train runs from Adelaide in South Australia to Darwin in the Northern Territory. (or vice versa)The length of the journey is 2,979 kilometres. The train takes you through the red centre of Australia.

Our journey started in Darwin in the Northern Territory. These are images of the Darwin coastline, the Darwin Tunnel from World War II, Fogg Dam, and the Territory Wildlife Park.

First stop on the Ghan was a cruise through the Katherine Gorge.
